I have been counseling since I did my undergraduate work at San Diego State University. There I worked at a crisis center for two years. From there I went on to get my Master’s in Counseling Psychology at National University. During this time I worked at Alvarado Parkway Institute in the dual diagnosis program. I worked with addicts that also had psychological disorders. I have also worked with teens and their families in a program through the YMCA.
I have also led middle school and high school groups. These groups focused on self esteem building and helping the kids learn positive coping skills and behaviors. I am a certified domestic violence counselor and have led domestic violence and anger management groups. I am also bilingual in Spanish and enjoy working with different cultures.
Throughout my career I have found that helping others is my passion. My therapeutic work is based on my life experience, education and training. I believe that therapy can help people with self-growth and self-actualization, allowing you to overcome barriers and release extreme beliefs and feelings. Therapy also helps to increase many positive qualities of Self, such as joy, compassion, peace, self-esteem, spiritual connection, and love. I encourage you to begin the journey of becoming more conscious about yourself, your inner world, and your relationships with others.
I am currently working at the Center for Mindful Relationships in San Diego. I provide individual, couple, family and group counseling in the greater San Diego area.
